Ray Carrol Banks was born on March 11, 1947 and joined the Armed Forces while in Scroggins, Texas.

He served as a 64A20 in the Army. In one year of service, he attained the rank of SP4/E4.

On February 2, 1968, at the age of 20, Ray C. Banks perished in the service of our country, by ground casualty artillary rocket or mortar hostile fire, in South Vietnam, Quang Tri.


His body was recovered and returned home.
